As Oracle PL/SQL Developer , you will: perform software development, testing, and/or product support assignments in support of our client's products and/or projects.

This position is responsible for:
Performing assigned software maintenance, enhancement and/or development tasks to support project delivery, product support and/or development activities.
D esigning and implementing custom applications using Oracle databases and tools in the energy sector.
Developing Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, Object Types, Views, SQL scripts to facilitate the functionality for various modules.
Developing complex SQL queries.
Completing software builds integration and testing of products.
Performing assigned integration and internal testing.
Identifying packaging requirements and designs, and deploys solutions for system delivery.
Gathering information for and prepares software and system level documentation, such as software design documents, system installation guides, test plans, programmer’s guides, and software maintenance manuals.
Implementing assigned pre-defined new functionality in applications.
Interfacing with customers on specific projects or technical issues.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

General Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent or equivalent work experience.
5 -7 years experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Excellent Oracle programming skills is a must.
Expertise in advanced PL/SQL techniques in a 10g or 11g environment.
Experience developing PL/SQL for large scale software applications.
Expertise in SQL tuning of large database environments.
Good DDL and DML writing skills are essential as well as being able to write complex queries.
Proven understanding of software design methodology.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to draft professional and technical reports and procedures. Ability to make informal presentations to technical and non-technical staff and customers.
Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals.
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrates a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
Requires Travel of 5% of the time, may require travel up to 20%.
May be required to work extended hours, carry a pager/cell phone and be on call.

The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
Java development experience
Programming skills in writing code in C#, C++, utilizing the .NET Framework.
Experience with Web Services.
SQL Server experience would be a differentiator
