This position (RCQAE) will perform design project management, responsible for managing consultants whom are contracted to develop region projects as part of the early preliminary engineering and preliminary engineering phases. In general, these contracts will be the most complex, involving capacity improvements, innovative contracting, and/or reconstruction and rehabilitation. Responsibilities include consultant selection, project management, and project/programming management system administration. |
The RCQAE is also responsible for leading the region with development of better projects and performing quality assurance of design work performed by others throughout the region. In addition, the position is responsible to assist the Region System Manager in program and project administration.
The RCQAE is responsible for making engineering decisions and providing final sign-off on plans, specifications, and proposals for highway construction projects. The RCQAE maintains project records and communicates relevant project information to all stakeholders as appropriate.
Required Education and Experience:
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer, including two years equivalent to a Transportation Engineer P11 or one year equivalent to a Transportation Engineer 12 or Transportation Engineer Licensed 12.
