The Research Coordinator is responsible for completing data collection and providing study coordination services for grant funded research projects. This includes supporting and participating in research activities with various clinical specialties at multiple sites within the Marshfield area, the state of Wisconsin and multiple sites in the United States and Canada. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: evaluate and coordinate participants for study enrollment/exams; abstract medical charts; interview via telephone and in-person; implement study protocol; assist with IRB requirements; maintain and ensure quality data collection, and participate in educational training. Involvement in more than one project at the same time is required.
This temporary position is available through May 2013.
Education: Minimum of one-year (24 credits) post high school education in a health-care related field required. Working knowledge or course work in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and Microsoft Office computer programs required. (Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic).
License/Certification: Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
Experience: Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in the field of medicine or science require one-year previous work experience in a medical or science field.
Candidates with an associate degree in a medical or science field, other than a formal Clinical Research Coordinator program, require a minimum of two years previous work experience in a medical or science field.
Prior work experience in a medical field is not a requirement for Clinical Research Coordinator associate degree program graduates but is highly desired.
Candidates with a minimum of one-year (24 credits) post high school education in a health-care related field require a minimum of three years previous work experience in a medical or science field.
