Description
The IB Finance is part of Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) and provides financial control services across business aligned teams: North American Interest Rate Markets, Equities, Global Currencies and Commodities and Credit Markets. In addition, there are several cross business teams including core accounting and internal control that houses the functions and processes common to all businesses. This model allows the participating businesses to more easily share best practices and better leverage their collective talent, all while ensuring that the business-aligned teams keep their strong connection and relationships with the business managers in the primary locations.
The Regulatory Reporting Group is responsible for the monitoring and pre-approval of various equity positions under varying regulations. We produce and maintain the SEC 13 G and F filings for global equity positions beneficially owned by J. P. Morgan Chase & Co. Inc. We produce ad-hoc reports for Legal, Compliance, the Control Room, Commitments and other Departments requiring this information. We work closely with Legal, Compliance, the Equity LOB (Lines of Business), and Audit to discuss, interpret and update reporting requirements and resolve issues. We monitor and pre-clear equity trades being considered by various trading groups under Regulation K, Regulation Y, Section 16 and 23A/B. We prepare the Regulation W Validation Summary of the covered transactions for submission to the Federal Reserve. We work closely with Corporate Treasury, Corporate Regulatory Reporting and Line of Business Contacts for confirmation of the Regulation W Covered Transactions reported.
The candidate must be very highly motivated and capable of working individually as well as in a team. The individual must be able to handle an extraordinarily high level of complexity in their product coverage; be able to shift gears with relative ease; be flexible enough in shifting workload in accordance with changing priorities; and be comfortable dealing with a stressful and fast paced work environment.

Qualifications
Full and complete understanding of Equity Securities and/or Regulatory Operations knowledge
Familiarity with Investment Banking and Asset Wealth Management business strategies
Ability to rationalize regulatory requirements and influence business and technology partners to deliver solutions to business issues and problems
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the various Legal, Compliance, and Operations business units
Strong people management skills
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical skills:
Ability to quickly understand the workings of a complex processing system data flows their interrelationships and dependencies
Required Experience:
1-3 years working in Finance Operations
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Excellent Financial Product knowledge
Excellent Securities Acumen
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with SEC Reporting and/or Bank Regulations
Experience in (or exposure to) business development and/or relationship management
Experience with Microsoft Office Excel & PowerPoint
Preferred Experience:
Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment
Able to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
