Responsible for providing independent, value-added, solutions-oriented loan review results and independently opining on asset and underwriting quality, adequacy of account management procedures, and accuracy of risk classifications. Additionally, facilitate communication of audit recommendations & control/operational implementations, and coordinate with internal/external audit teams in executing their audit plans. Essential Responsibilities
Ensure timely completion, maintenance, and execution of the Loan Review audit plan and risk assessment
Work closely with GECFI’s audit team & GE Capital’s Loan Review audit team to ensure timely and complete audit coverage
Interact regularly with external auditors and regulators to ensure effective, risk focused, and efficient audit coverage
Assess quality of credit decisions; determine effectiveness of account monitoring, portfolio management and problem account identification; evaluate compliance with loan and lease policies/procedures; validate integrity of corporate risk classification and adequacy of loan and lease valuations
Review individual credit files and understand existing processes; determine accuracy of loan and lease data in key business systems, identify policy and process weaknesses and recommend changes
Effectively prepare/present/discuss loan review results and issues with business senior leaders and Board of Directors; as part of discussing review findings, make recommendations for improvements. Track and communicate open audit items to ensure timely closure
Assess risk management processes and controls regarding portfolio management, credit quality, concentrations, risk limits, board reporting and overall trends Qualifications/Requirements Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years’ experience in risk, credit or underwriting fields
Minimum 2 years’ audit experience
Experience in exercising investment credit authorities and secured lending practices
High level of proficiency in credit analysis
Demonstrated ability to derive non-typical solutions using analysis and application of quantitative data and coach others on how to probe for information, critically evaluate, recognize non-obvious patterns, and spot flaws in logic
Excellent negotiation and resolution skills
High level of integrity and personal accountability
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite

Experience in financial services industry and working directly with regulators such as FDIC, Federal Reserve, OTS, OCC
Detailed understanding of FFIEC guidelines
Excellent analytical/technical skills

Ability to influence others effectively across a matrixed organization.
Experience in project management and formal team leadership
Experience managing, motivating, and developing teams of auditors
