Scope of Position High volume fulfillment operation supporting the Lynchburg Hardware and General Store (LH&GS) has a need for a Shipping / Receiving Clerk II. This position will be working at the Craig Street Warehouse location with other clerks under the direction of the assistant store supervisor and store supervisor. The job involves handling & receiving incoming goods from freight trucks and barrel wood vendors, verifying counts on incoming merchandise and placing merchandise in the designated storage area. Additional duties involve processing mail orders, field orders/fulfillment orders and wholesale orders along with general housekeeping and other duties as assigned. Basic Function Responsible for checking in merchandise from vendors, pricing, stocking, running tow motor and pulling stock for the store. Handles large volume of barrels daily; skidding, wrapping and also loading/unloading by hand. Processes orders for JD merchandise, mail orders, Image Seller POS barrel field orders/fulfillment orders, International barrel container orders, Summit Marketing website fulfillment orders and wholesale orders. Coordinates with Lynchburg Hardware Store about incoming stock. Provides customer service for the Lynchburg Hardware Store and Barrel Shop. Provides mail run and delivery for LH&GS, MMBB, BBQ and VC. Responsible for handling/packing all motor freight orders as well as regular ground mail orders for Summit Marketing fulfillment website orders, Image Seller POS barrel field orders, International barrel container orders, Brown Forman, mail order, and wholesale orders. Physically receiving in merchandise from vendors, writing down tracking numbers, pulling P.O.’s, separating and counting merchandise to ensure order accuracy. Move large volume of barrels and barrel furniture daily. Respond to email orders with merchandise information, pictures and pricing. Answering phone calls, taking phone orders, answering questions and handling all customer service issues. Must use tow motor for loading and unloading freight orders. Make sure all merchandise pulled for orders is taken off clip boards and accounted for to maintain accurate inventory. Responsible for making daily morning mail run, with stock delivery to LH&GS, MMBB, BBQ and Visitor Center. Also responsible for merchandise pick up from Cooperage, LH&GS/Barrel Shop and others as needed. Responsible for stocking received merchandise in appropriate area of the warehouse, also responsible for pulling stock for the Lynchburg Hardware and Barrel Shop store. Responsible for cleaning, sweeping, organizing and spot checking clip boards and stock numbers. Recycling packing materials to cut back on ordering. Must Requirements |
