As a Facilities Chemical Engineer Intern at Micron, you will provide support to site-wide design, planning, operation, and troubleshooting of ultra-pure chemical systems, ultra high purity water systems, waste treatment systems, pollution abatement systems, specialty and cryogenic gas systems, and toxic gas monitoring systems.
In this position, you will be working in a team environment with other engineering, operations, and construction disciplines to provide the following:
Detailed designs and specifications used to install new capital equipment and systems.
Meeting design completion schedules with cost-effective and accurate drawings.
Maintaining engineering capacity and load data for assigned systems and areas.
Providing support for cost estimates and analysis of proposed projects.
Providing support for new equipment startups, and ensure that all equipment will properly interface with other mechanical and electrical systems.
Providing engineering and review of facilities work orders.
Providing support to operating personnel and specifying critical components for design projects.
Maintaining various administrative and engineering databases that support job tracking, engineering data, capital equipment facilitation, and critical system loads and capacities.
Performing research and development for emerging facilities technologies that support cutting-edge semiconductor processes.
Maintaining awareness of and perform all work in accordance with company safety guidelines and engineer safety into all designs.
Maintaining good communication with the Chemical Engineering organization, with other engineering disciplines, and with all customers throughout the organization.
