The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky seeks a Recruitment and Retention Specialist. The primary responsibilities of this position include recruitment of prospective students, advocating majors and courses offered by the college, and retention of current students. Duties include development and execution of strategies and goals for the recruiting cycle; meeting with prospective students and their influencers; utilizing student management software (Hobsons Connect) to communicate with large numbers of students; facilitating student communication with faculty members; development of marketing materials through collaboration with other staff units and specific academic departments; management of college ambassador program; promotion of courses and programs to current students; planning and execution of college specific recruitment and retention events. This position requires extensive travel between August and November and some travel during other months.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization and planning skills; collaboration; teambuilding; proficiency in student management software (Hobsons Connect), professionalism; external/internal/technical communication

Preferred Education / Experience
Bachelors degree + 3 years recruitment and/or retention in higher education preferred. Experience with Hobsons Connect student management software and experience in leading student or similar organization highly desired.
