Under the close mentorship of senior staff and faculty within the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences at the UNM College of Pharmacy, the candidate will undertake a range of on-going activities and assigned projects. Primary responsibilities will include screening, recruiting, and interviewing pregnant women from several UNM-affiliated prenatal care clinics. Incumbent will have to work closely with the clinic personnel and a study manager to coordinate research-related activities. Incumbent should be comfortable working with vulnerable populations, i.e., pregnant women, alcohol and illicit drug users, patients on opioid-maintenance therapy and asking sensitive questions about reproductive health and substance abuse. The position will also involve handling of biological specimens collected by professional staff at the clinics and some data entry.
Chosen candidate will provide entry-level professional support services, such as screening and determining eligibility of potential research subjects and administer structured patient interviews, under supervision of senior professional staff and/or faculty personnel.
Student currently enrolled at an accredited university in a Bachelors or Masters program, within a year from graduating; no previous work experience required OR Bachelors or Masters degree, along with transcripts, must be presented prior to a formal offer being extended; no previous work experience required.
