ODM Operations Technical Engineer
Candidate will be part of Intel's Mobile Communications Group (MCG). MCG is responsible for developing Smartphones and Tablets. MCG platforms include processors, chipsets, and software stack including OS, various communications solutions, and reference platforms. MCG is part of Intel Architecture Group (IAG). MCG's business is considered to be one of the most exciting growth opportunities for Intel.
The ODM technical engineer will be responsible for working with the mechanical team for font end product studies, PCB layout studies, antenna design and RF circuit design. The engineer will work with the ODM during product development cycle to ensure the product meets all electrical specs during every stage. They will work with the platform team to work on design tradeoffs. They will also work with the operations manager for manufacturing activities including factory support, Build coordination, material coordination etc in conjunction with the respective ODM's. Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Work with front end team during product creation cycle
Maintain HW/SW interface document
Attend design reviews with ODM during all stages of product design
Drive daily technical activities with ODM.
Monitor progress, risks, and milestone execution for PD teams.
Identify priorities and provide resolution to schedule roadblocks, issues, etc
Ensure that all product deliverables do not jeopardize the Development Builds.
Provide regular status within PD and with external teams.
Align objectives, schedule and budget with other ODM engineers and Project managers.
BS/MS EE + 8-10 Years related experience.
At least 6 years of Engineering Product development experience in consumer electronics industry, preferably in the delivery of mobile/wireless products.
Preferred experience in electrical engineering including RF, logic and BB
At least 6 years of product development experience in mobile/wireless industry.
In-depth knowledge of product development manufacturing processes and product lifecycle.
Strong leadership and team building skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to make rapid decisions based on data, team collaboration and input to meet business objectives.
Self starter, self motivator, and highly adaptable.
