Provide industry leading service while assisting with and supporting all aspects of sales, service and transaction activities in the branch. Must adhere to applicable regulations, internal controls, policies, procedures and the SunTrust Code of Conduct.
Ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities accurately and efficiently according to established processes and guidelines during the course of a business day including but not limited to:
Deposits and withdrawals
Payments and transfers
Consignment item sales
Develop and expand new client relationships through:
Utilizing resources to conduct consultative conversations and provide financial solutions that meet clients needs across all product and service lines - not limited to deposit and credit products
Identifying and making appropriate referrals to other lines of business
Primary focus is assisting with client transaction and service needs with additional activities related to sales opportunities, based on the needs of the branch.
Time spent in various aspects of this role will vary depending upon branch traffic and needs and the role of other teammates in the branch. Mix of work will include transaction processing, client servicing and sales. Proportion of time spent on each will vary day to day and market to market.
Client Service Specialist I
Ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities during the course of a business day; possesses skill, ability and aptitude to deliver industry-leading service, perform routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and basic sales functions as well as basic teller transactions. Commit to advancing knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge to better serve personal and business clients. Contributions made to meeting and exceeding client service and branch sales goals by offering and selling products and services and developing, expanding and retaining relationships. Consistently follows defined procedures for bank operations and client service behaviors that contribute to delivering an extraordinary client interaction.
Knowledge of risk management and loss prevention. Supervision and/or assistance needed with more complex platform tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum six months experience as a SunTrust Teller or FSR, or one year of non-SunTrust experience including some or all of the following: service, sales, cash handling or payment transaction experience
Basic level of knowledge and/or skills related to the financial services industry
Basic math and numeric sequencing aptitude
Willing and able to follow instructions and work under established guidelines
College level courses
Prior experience in a comparable position at a financial services company
Demonstrates ability to interact confidently with clients
Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve client financial needs
Cash handling and/or payment transaction experience in a medium to high volume environment with established processing procedures and controls
