The Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator is a professional registered nurse with a graduate degree in nursing, whose purpose is to ensure compliance to established policies, procedures, and/or regulations required to maintain a department's program(s) of services. The Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator manages education/training programs and services; develops related goals and objectives, recommends policies and evaluates program outcomes. The Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator utilizes a high degree of initiative, to plan, develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate educational and clinical experiences. The three spheres of influence include patient/family, staff nurses, and health organizations/systems. The Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator provides clinical leadership and serves as a role model, facilitator of learning and resource for the translation of skills and knowledge into clinical practice. The roles of the Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator include, direct patient/family care, consultation, change agent, teaching/coaching/mentoring, research, patient advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership & professional development.

Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse
· Baccalaureate degree and a Master's degree in Nursing are required
· Minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience
· Certified AHA ECC Instructor - BLS (required within 6 months of hire) ACLS and /or PALS (desired)
