Respiratory Therapist at Swedish/Edmonds in Edmonds, Washington.
The Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory care procedures on patients of all ages in all areas of the hospital.
In this position you will:
Care for patients on a ventilator and on noninvasive ventilation (BiPAP) or CPAP
Perform a variety of routine treatments including aerosol therapy, Chest Physiotherapy, Incentive Spiro meter, oxygen therapy
Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures. such as ABG's, EKG's, treadmills, Oximetry, spirometry or other measurements
Attend CPR's and other emergencies to manage the airway and assure ventilation
Assist patients with airway management to control secretions, provide patent airway or allow artificial ventilation. Includes intubations assist, trach care, suctioning, tube/oral care, and trach tube change
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner License
Recent hospital experience in Respiratory Care
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
NRP certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Current certification as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
