LifeSkills is looking for a Marketing and Communitcations Specialist to help with things like, public relations, internal communications, community events and event planning, and website design and maintenance.

DESCRIPTION

Every person needs the support of other, but we look for very special people to support individuals with disabilities.As the Marketing and Communications Specialist at LifeSkills you will help connect the community to LifeSkills, our mission, and our clients. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will provide support to the organization and the VP of marketing getting the word out about LifeSkills services, events, and internal communication to our staff.LifeSkills mission is to help those with disabilities live, work and participate in the community and as the Marketing and Communications Specialist you will help in connecting the community to our mission.Whether you have previous experience in this kind of role, or this just sounds like the type of career path you would like to pursue... we want to hear from you!

DUTIES

This role will provide general marketing and communications support for the organization, and job duties will include - but not be limited to - the following tasks: * Assistance in the production of collateral materials for the organization, following set brand standards * Assistance in the production and publication of statewide newsletters * News gathering for internal e-communications * Fulfillment of media requests as needed * General website maintenance * Providing support to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications as needed * Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications: * Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing * Minimum three years of experience * Experience working in a not-for-profit environment Requirements: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Team player with a great attitude * Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines * Fluency in Microsoft Office programs * Ability to use the internet for research * Ability to talk to all levels of employees * Familiarity with autism and developmental disabilities preferred * Experience with Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter a plus * Experience in Adobe Creative Suite a plus This role will provide general marketing and communications support for the organization, and job duties will include - but not be limited to - the following tasks: * Assistance in the production of collateral materials for the organization, following set brand standards * Assistance in the production and publication of statewide newsletters * News gathering for internal e-communications * Fulfillment of media requests as needed * General website maintenance * Providing support to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications as needed * Other duties as assigned
