Under the direction of the Laboratory Section Manager, the Medical Technologist has the following resonsibilities:
Performs and evaluates proper laboratory testing.
Understands and enforces safety regulations
Uses statistical methods and applies business and economic data in decision making.
Evaluates causes and deviations of discrepant test results and follows the ethical code of conduct and confidentiality for the profession
2 years Hospital/Clinical Lab experience required for HEW or equivalent personnel.
MLT (ASCP) or equivalent must have educational and training requirements met.
Associate degree including a nationally accredited clinical training program or equivalent.
MLT (ASCP) eligibility required.
Must meet current regulatory standards.
Professional conduct and interpersonal communication skills; manual dexterity in use of equipment.
