We're looking for a seasoned, passionate IT infrastructure Engineer / Systems Administrator to help us manage, maintain, and deploy key infrastructure for a modern media company. As a member of the IT team, you'll be responsible for maintaining, improving, and optimizing a global environment.

Responsibilities :
Properly prioritize and act on system alerts and tickets in the Infrastructure queue

Manage and maintain the core services running on Mac or Linux: print, file, DHCP, and DNS

Proactively find and fix problems, head off problems, walk problems to the curb and tell them not to come around here anymore

Assess capacity and work proactively to ensure IT scalability and stability

Work closely with our IT and Operations teams to design and standardize our internal systems

Contribute to the development of new standards for our environment

Requirements:
We want someone with a wide range of skills and expertise in a number of areas. We've listed some important ones here, and while we don't expect you to be an expert in all of them, we’re looking for someone who has familiarity with the majority:

Strong familiarity with Mac OS X and OS X Server

Must be comfortable at the Linux and Mac command line with a reasonable, but not overwhelming, aversion to using a mouse

Strong familiarity with Linux (CentOS and Debian preferred) and staple Unix services (DNS, DHCP, BIND, syslog-ng, etc)

Configuration management (like cfengine or chef)

Monitoring and trending software (like Nagios, Ganglia, or Cacti)

Solid real-world understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting

Scripting skills (ideally Perl, Python, or Bash)

Managing geographically diverse offices and systems

Knowledge of and ability to debate the Magneto vs. Professor X dynamic

Ability to prioritize, manage, track, and update multiple projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Large or small datacenter experience a plus

Must love dogs
