Position Purpose:
Individually and as project manager, is responsible for providing technical leadership, expert guidance, coordination, and support to Dartmouth's departments and programs in their use of the web.

Skills & Knowledge:
Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects to completion efficiently. Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population. Thorough knowledge of and fluency with current web technologies and the electronic publishing workflow. Understanding of web environments in large IT organizations. Ability to develop requirements for web projects. Demonstrated ability to apply information architecture and user-centered design principles and methodologies. Knowledge of current best practices in web design, usability, and accessibility. Knowledge of web analytics, and experience gathering and analyzing user research. Expertise in web graphic design, website production image editing, and diagramming. Practical experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MySQL

Minimum Experience:
Four years of web design and production experience on a web development team. Two years of experience managing web projects. Extensive experience in the use of multiple content management systems. Experience working effectively in and fostering highly collaborative, team-oriented environments. Experience in a higher education environment preferable.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information or Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field, or bachelor's degree in another field and three years of experience. Master's degree preferred.
