Assists the Restaurant Service Manager in oversight of food and beverage operations, including restaurant, bar and pool side service & event banquet service. Responsible for staff supervision, opening and closing procedures, cash management, and inventory control. Ensures quality standards maintained. Assists F&B director in product orders and payroll.
Education/Experience : Experience in a fast-paced, food service operation. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Previous private Club experience a plus.
Certificates/Licenses : Accredited State Alcohol Training Certification required within 30 days of employment. Food Handlers card obtained within 1 week of employment.
Additional Training Required within 30 Days: Harassment Training, Blood borne Pathogens, and Hazardous Material Communication (MSDS).
Language/Communication: Ability to read, write and speak English is required.
Job Tasks (Duties)
Provide immediate and timely service to all members and guests according to Club service standards
Aid in addressing and resolving member and guest comments following Service Recovery Standards
Assist with overall restaurant service including: greeting and escorting guests to tables, table clearing and setting, bartending, order taking, food running, wine selling.
Checks all dining room tables, wait stations and bar area for cleanliness and proper stocking on daily basis
Maintains inventory in bar and dining room to insure sufficient amount of silverware, plates, glassware, water pitchers, coffee pots, salt and pepper holders, beverages, paper goods and linens etc. are on hand
Maintains personal professional appearance; ensure same for staff
Assist with training of FOH team members
Maintains communication with kitchen to ensure timely, quality standards
Has thorough knowledge of menu items
Verifies and disseminates instruction for daily events
Executes events in accordance with BEOs
Acts as banquet captain for special events and group functions
Adheres to inventory control procedures; ensures all sales are recorded
Monitors staff hours within schedule and budget guidelines
Collects, reviews, approves and balances servers and bartenders daily checkouts
Ensures that bar bank and safe counts are correct and stocked for business daily
Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks, not specifically addressed above.
