Franklin Woods Community Hospital is part of the Mountain States Health Alliance, a highly esteemed health care system.
Opened in summer of 2010, FWCH is an eco-friendly facility that mixes cutting-edge technology with natural architecture and design. Inside the hospital, designers have included rock formations and trees to give the facility a natural feel. The hospital is striving to receive certification as a Leader in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) facility, a national benchmark for design.
The hospital overlooks Med Tech Park and offers beautiful mountain and forest views. A $122 million project, this brand-new hospital covers approximately 240,000 square feet.
Set on a 25-acre lot, FWCH is adjacent to The Wellness Center, which offers a pool, gymnasium, and regular athletic classes and events. The hospital offers 80 licensed beds and a 22-room emergency department. The department has a projected patient volume of approximately 33,000.
