Job Summary. Currently hiring for our Provo, Utah office location. We are looking to hire (2) full time contractors for this position. Technical Support Engineers are expected to perform the following functions while working closely with engineering and other technical-support team members to resolve complex customer support tickets:
*Answer CRM helpdesk request tickets using a Web interface
*Troubleshoot complex scenario-based problems
*Develop a deep understanding of our product line
*Work with engineers to identify and resolve more-complicated problems
*Act as customer advocate in the product-development process
*Effectively present solutions to customers and co-workers
*Provide feedback from customers to product teams
*Document required bug fixes and feature improvements for end users
*Create Knowledge Base articles and other customer-facing documents

*Associate's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent experience
*Three years' experience working with customers in a technical-support role
*Three years' experience working with Unix, including Debian GNU/Linux or Windows Scripting
*Industry certifications preferred but not required

Required Skills
*Be proficient in Perl and Python programming languages
*Be proficient in shell scripting and Linux command utilities
*Be proficient in Unix Application management, systems debugging and troubleshooting (log files, startup/shutdown, etc.)
*Be proficient in virtualization concepts

Desirable Skills
*Be proficient in Linux based operating systems and administration
*Be proficient and knowledgeable in VMware virtualization and control software.
*Be proficient in Redhat operating systems and tools
*Be proficient in storage concepts
*Be proficient in networking concepts
*Be proficient in IBM xCAT software
*Be proficient in basic HTML/JS
*Have good Documentation skills & Communication skills
