The Associate Director, Measurement and Analytics is responsible for overseeing, developing digital marketing measurement and analytics programs for large national and international brands. The Associate Director, M&A proactively identifies unstated business questions and analyses that can answer them, conducts analysis related to a range of unique business questions, interprets the data in a meaningful way, and translates the information into "marketer-friendly" results. This role must be able to work across and integrate data from multiple digital analytics platforms and oversees and mentor more junior associates.

Essential Job Functions

Work with client teams, strategists, and clients to learn their business, category, competitive landscape and target audience(s), and then use this knowledge to establish clear objectives, KPIs, and optimization strategies during project initiation

Quickly develop effective measurement and analytics strategies

Develop tagging and tracking specifications for implementation to ensure appropriate data capture in alignment with the measurement and optimization strategy

Create and deliver recurring KPI-driven performance measurement reports and dashboards to clients

Leverage a range of analytics platforms for reporting and analysis work, including web analytics, voice of the customer, social media analytics (Facebook Insights, YouTube Analytics, Twitter analytics platforms, etc.), mobile application and site analytics, search analytics (SEO and SEM), and display media analytics

Develop and implement A/B and multivariate testing programs as appropriate

Mentor internal staff and educate clients as to what data is available through which tools and how to interpret the data

Investigate/oversee the assessment/trial of emerging analytics platforms and makes recommendations for adoption

Contribute to the development of RI thought leadership in digital analytics

Required Qualifications

8+ years of digital analytics experience with responsibility for reporting and analyzing data in a fast-paced business environment

Ability to facilitate the establishment of clear project objectives and appropriate KPIs

Demonstrated experience developing performance measurement reports and dashboards

Solid understanding of data visualization best practices

Demonstrated experience effectively conducting hypothesis-driven analyses that drove action

Ability to create/design and adapt data capture and reporting processes

Knowledge of query tools and best practices, including deep proficiency with at least one major web analytics platform (e.g. Coremetrics, Adobe/Omniture, Webtrends, Google Analytics, etc.)

Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information in spoken, written or visual form to a variety of audiences, from internal team to client executives

Ability to learn quickly and adjust to emerging digital and digital analytics technologies and business requirements

Has a strong understanding of digital and social media marketing principles. Demonstrates and applies this knowledge proactively as a member of project teams.

Demonstrated ability to reliably support multiple simultaneous initiatives and clients

High proficiency in MS Excel

Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaborative team settings

Preferred Qualifications

Agency and client-side experience

Experience with social media analytics and/or online listening platforms

Experience with one or more commercial BI, dashboarding, or reporting platform

Hands-on experience with web site optimization, including site structure, page construction, content, keyword research, search marketing principles, and SEO principles

Travel Requirements

This position may require up to 10% travel to and from current or potential client sites, conferences, seminars and/or training sessions
