Job Summary
The ITSM Project Manager reports to the ITS Chief Technology Officer ; understands and articulate the vision of Service Management and internal customer satisfaction at UCSF; guides this vision with a solid understanding ITSM technologies and ITIL v3 Service Management best practices; coordinates and manages the scope, timing, and budget of multiple small to large-scale projects to achieve desired organizational goals and benefits; provides expertise and advice throughout the entire cycle of organization projects to ensure they reflect strategic directions, provide value, are risk-manageable, stay on a reasonable schedule, and are fiscally managed; guides ITS functional managers and staff in providing a measurable, consistent, and client-focused approach to program and release management, with end-to-end accountability; provides consistency in the content and execution of all ITS applications and Web related projects across UCSF; establishes project management processes for the organization; trains other project managers and technical leads on processes and tools; oversees evaluation and prioritization of project proposals; assists project teams with change management and project coaching; provides regular analysis and feedback on all phases of projects to Supervisor; and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus; 10+ years experience of progressive broad-based information systems business analysis and project management, with strong project management methodology background; must be able to credibly articulate the vision of ITSM at UCSF. Backed by a solid understanding of ITSM and technologies and ITIL best practices; solid understanding of the project lifecycle process, including initiation, requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control; highly organized and thorough, with an ability to facilitate communication and scheduling among different levels of staff; communication, writing and inter-personal abilities, including skills such as attitude, diplomacy and persuasiveness, analytical ability, strong judgment and managerial skills; previous supervisory experience; able to prioritize effectively according to department needs and ability to organize a large number of changing variables; leadership and development skills needed; experience in writing business plans; experience presenting to C-Level executives and/or Venture; certification in project management methodology (i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certified); manage budgets; provide technical documentation of testing results; ability to provide training as needed; maintain schedule and maintain risk management standards; driving focused initiatives to meet global needs/goals; requires climbing stairs; sitting, standing, walking.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience leading ITSM projects, ideally using Service Now technology; prior academic and/or healthcare experience; experience leading business transformation projects; experience with Agile Methodology; Scrum Master Certification.

Certification in project management methodology (i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certified).
