Dear nannies/preschool teachers,

If you have heard of RIE, Emilio Reggio, and/or are knowledgeable in childhood development; if you understand the importance of emotional intelligence, building confidence, independence, self-esteem, and self-discipline and are familiar with the language and strategies to implement in achieving them; if you are willing to work in a partnership with us, we are looking for you!!!

Hi, I am a mother of three delightful young girls - 2-year old twins and a 3.5 month old, and my husband and I are looking for a full-time (+) nanny (or personal teacher) who will work exclusively with our family. Our twins will be starting preschool in the fall, so the majority of the hours will be on the weekends (long days), helping us. Though much of the time (on weekends) will be spent together as a family, we are looking for a partner in our nanny, not a bystander. It is also likely that there will be times when we will leave the children home while we go out, so we are looking for someone who will learn our routine and implement it.

We are a family that enjoys traveling, whether it be out of town, or out of the country, and are looking for someone flexible who would be willing to travel with us for a long weekend up to a season (the summer), or/(and) be responsible enough to leave the kids with if/while we go away. *With three young children, we are not traveling as much as we would like to these days!* We are hoping to find someone who will be with us for years to come.

The most important factor is, of course, our children. It is of top importance to us that our children be treated with the same respect an adult would expect, that they are taught boundaries in a loving, calm way, and that they are held to expectations appropriate for their developmental stage. We want a nanny who will honor our children's interests and find creative ways to expand upon them (or leave our kids alone and let them discover for themselves!), someone well-versed in guiding/redirecting them through transitions and conflict resolution, someone who is energetic and not afraid to get their hands dirty, but cleans up and puts everything away in its proper place by the end of the day.

Beyond that, we need someone who is organized, responsible, and has plentiful good energy! We work hard and love to have fun, and are looking for someone like-minded.

We are strictly looking for a non-smoker. We live very close to UCLA, and can explore a live-in position if it's applicable. We would like our nanny to be able to drive (our family car) with a clean driving record, and a clean background. We would also like someone who is familiar enough with technology to find interesting activities, etc.

If you feel like this description is one of you and you could thrive in this kind of environment, I would love to hear from you! A lucrative salary or hourly wage will be offered to a well-qualified applicant!

Thank you for taking the time to read my post!
