Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Lubar School of Business Recruiter’s primary responsibility will be to advise, coach, and guide prospective undergraduate Business students through the complex and over-arching policies and procedures of the application process and admission to the university. Specific duties will include communicating the requirements of UWM’s business degree, marketing the undergraduate programs offered through the Lubar School of Business and working closely with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs to create new undergraduate recruitment initiatives. Other duties include serving as liaison to the UWM Department of Recruitment and Outreach, recruiting prospective students graduating from high school and transfer students from community colleges and other universities to the Lubar School of Business and developing and coordinating a student ambassador program for peer advising for prospective students. The Recruiter will also serve as the conduit for transfer students from MATC and the UW Colleges, will network with high school guidance counselors and business teachers to create a productive relationship with the Lubar School of Business and will maintain communication with prospects from application to enrollment.
Required qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree, excellent communication skills, and a minimum of two years experience at a College or University. Also required is a proven ability to prioritize and multitask to complete projects on a timely basis with accuracy and an understanding of MS Office and student database systems.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and direct recruitment experience. Evidence of working with a diverse student population is beneficial and familiarity with an AACSB accredited business curriculum is a plus.
