We are currently recruiting a talented Department Manager to join our ' Team' in our Morristown Store. Core Role Key Priorities: To provide Sales Specialists and Team Members with the necessary leadership, supervision and direction in order to ensure that each specified area of responsibility is promoting and protecting the Century 21 Brand by maintaining an in-stock, effectively merchandised and properly signed shopping environment resulting in profitable sales. To maintain clear, active, and open channels of communication with the; Stores Merchandise Coordinators in order to drive profitable sales and support the delivery of the Century 21 Brand Shopping Experience. Partner with Human Resources, by properly executing the group interview process, in order to Build a Fast, Friendly and Fashionable team that possesses the skills and commitment necessary in order to maintain a culture that consistently delivers memorable Guest experiences. Create and maintain an environment that inspires Team Members to maximize each sales opportunity by establishing a person to person relationship with Century 21 Department Stores' valued guests. Ensure that new Team Members are welcomed into their department and provided with the necessary support, resulting in immediate productivity and the ability to answer Guests' questions. Maintain a supportive relationship between Human Resources and your team members, on and off stage, which furthers the development of our employees, based upon established Core Roles & Best Practices. Partner with HR in order to properly execute the group interview process and hire great team members. Be responsible for the development of team members that have the skills, ability, knowledge and the commitment necessary, in order to maintain a culture of Fast, Friendly and Fashionable Guest Service. Support a department effort that consistently recognizes team members that are displaying desired behaviors and coaches individuals that need some assistance staying on track. Coach team members to improve performance through objective assessments, clear direction, and consistent follow-up. Proactively search for team member and sales specialists coaching opportunities and take action to correct behaviors before progressive discipline situations are sent to the HR office. Promote an environment where team members treat each other with as much respect as they are expected to show our Guests. Protects the Century 21 Brand by creating and maintaining Clean & Distraction Free stores. (On and Off Stage) Utilizes thorough follow up with team members in order to ensure that merchandise is presented according to established Best Practices and standards. Maintains all day in-stock levels. Supports the consistent application of established Core Areas of Responsibility in order to implement maximum accountability for the daily recovery of the floor. Partners with the; Flow, Stock Room, and Presentation Department Managers in order to sustain an efficient team effort that balances store operational needs with the maximization of every selling and service opportunity. To maintain clear, active, and open channels of communication with; Store Management, Loss Prevention, and the Standards and Performance Department, in order to drive profitable sales and support the delivery of the Century 21 Brand Shopping Experience. Creates and maintains an environment that inspires sales specialists and team members to maximize their service potential. Ensures that each Guest is able to find what they are looking for in the most timely and positive manner possible.
A minimum of 3 years of related retail management experience. Managing a large staff including is a huge plus!
