The Time Warner Cable Carolina region currently seeks a Front Counter Representative for our Technical Operations Department in Myrtle Beach, SC. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
The purpose of this position is to be the primary TV, MISP (Multiple Internet Service provider), and Digital Phone customer contact at our outer office front counter locations. This position requires working with customers regarding billing, upgrading of services and sales of service in a manner consistent with Time Warner Cable policies and procedures, quality standards, customer needs, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
Trains and becomes proficient in selling services in person and by phone to customers and potential subscribers and in working to retain customer and maintain current service levels
Trains and becomes proficient in assisting customers in assessing service repair problems, scheduling service calls and meeting department standards for this function
Trains and becomes proficient in answering customer billing questions, including payment timetables
Trains and becomes proficient in assisting field employees in setting up and authorizing customer accounts
Trains and becomes proficient in handling payment transactions
Adheres to accepted company policy and procedures in providing services to customers
Maintains an acceptable standard of quality in dealing with the customer, both in attitude and ability
Maintains acceptable sales performance
Sells all company products effectively to customers and potential subscribers
Competently performs duties associated with maintaining a cash drawer
Is financially responsible for handling cash assets in their possession, which may include cash received from customers, checks, money orders, and/or credit card payments
Maintains and safeguards company equipment which may include converters, modems, remotes, etc.
Responsible for the overall security of the building and safe, at the beginning and end of each business day
Cooperates with co-workers
Responds politely to customers
Works as a member of a team Accepts change in a productive manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Must have at least one year experience in customer service such as retail, banking or call center environment
Proficient PC skills in a windows environment
Ability to read and write in English and use arithmetic skills to accurately complete daily work orders and other paperwork
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required to effectively communicate with management, co-workers and customers
Ability to accurately input data, at a minimum rate of 30 WPM, 95% accuracy
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Ability to be neat with self and conducts self in a respectable, responsible, courteous manner
Portrays a cooperative and positive attitude towards customers, employees and the Company
Ability to work hours outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
Call Center and/or banking experience
Bi-lingual skills a plus
Travel requirements and frequency:
Varies based on rotating schedule and needs of the business
