Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Regional President and functionally reporting to the Client and Community Relations Director (CCRD), the Executive Assistant to the President is charged with executing a broad array of administrative duties in support of the Regional President's success in the marketplace. This role in support of the Regional President's office includes oversight of executive calendaring, administrative duties such as correspondence, financial coordination, event support (as needed) and client entertainment coordination. This role is unique compared to many other executive assistant roles in that it supports the Regional President's cross-LOB sales and community relations efforts at the market level using a team-based approach, all in support of PNC's corporate brand.


No employee supervisory responsibilities. Input and administration of budget items and administration of bank systems and client entertainment assets aligns within the job’s responsibilities, but management oversight of budget and departmental assets is not within the role’s scope.

Daily administrative duties including phone management, departmental filing, sales call tracking, RP scheduling and email communications on behalf of the Regional President function. This includes working alongside Client and Community Relations colleagues to seamlessly administer the department's workstreams, especially where office proximity and central files exist. This ensures the single-team approach that streamlines the department's overall effectiveness.

Financial coordination and e-procurement facilitator, including expense reports, requests for disbursement on behalf of the Regional President and related Finance Workbench and PNC Buys tasks. At RP and CCRD’s direction, responsible for being secretary at the market charitable distribution committee meetings, providing minutes for those meetings, processing related check requests. Occasional report-sharing and related discussion in staff meetings is part of the role.

Client entertainment ticket coordination, leveraging ROI for RP-decisioned use of these bank assets and events. This duty often involves collaborative administration alongside the CCRD and/or CCRM in the market in support of the Regional President's decisions.

Unit's PNC Travel coordinator, on behalf of the RP and CCR department

Special projects such as executive visit support and occasional event support.

New Employee Orientation (NEO) coordination for new executives in the market.


High School diploma, plus a minimum of five years experience at the very least in an administrative, secretarial and office coordination setting. A professional background that involves support of an inclusive, fast-paced sales-driven environment is preferred. A background that includes computer skills/technical courses are preferred.

A background that includes client interaction is preferred

Basic PNC systems training and proficiency with Lotus Notes, RP Sales Tracking, PNC Finance Workbench, PNC Buys and PeopleSoft systems is necessary to perform the function. PNC-provided training on Genesis/CRM and similar platforms is necessary to generate client and prospect screens and reports for the Regional President

The formal New Employee Orientation (NEO) curriculum is necessary and is provided to the Executive assistant by PNC on an annual basis. This grants the Executive Assistant with the necessary knowledge and centralized support system around the NEO experience. Additional PNC systems training may be necessary on an as-needed basis.

Special Skills

Outstanding computer skills required. Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint are essential. Must be able to navigate various databases. Excellent communications skills, proper grammar use and proper diction is necessary to perform the duties of the job. Skilled keyboarding of at least 50 WPM is necessary. Basic web-based skills are necessary to facilitate basic web searches. Familiarity with PeopleSoft, CRM/Genesis, PNC-Managed Systems. Willingness to learn and become proficient in these systems.
