CTS SW Program Manager
The Intel Customer Technology Solutions Android Phone team is looking for critical thinkers who would like to play a key role developing and supporting Android Mobile devices. Customer Technology Solutions is responsible for providing MCG customers with the engineering, collateral, tools, services, and support to enable them to ramp high-volume winning products based on MCG products and platforms. Our team is a technical organization with platform, systems, software, and hardware engineers working directly with customers and our development teams to enable and maximize the impact of our technology. We serve as a solutions partner to our customers providing services, including technical evaluations; collateral and tools; hardware; software; systems integration support; and partnering with third-party hardware and software partners to ensure broad success of mobile IA devices. The Software Program Manager will lead customer technical solutions software team program execution in support of Android phones and tablets for US OEMs. The scope of this role is extensive, handling multiple SoC platforms and OEMs simultaneously which including planning, execution of OEM product launches using Intel chips from the design win phase to OEM product launches and post launch activities, driving both horizontally and vertically across Android and Kernel software stack.
The candidate is expected to lead CTS SW program execution and drive the overall delivery of Intel Chipsets and Android Software stack to OEMs, execution and schedules, identify and resolve issues, apply risk management as necessary, and ultimately deliver Android AP software stack and product. Ability to apply judgment in order to resolve issues and define a lowest-risk path forward is critical. The candidate will be expected to represent the overall SW program in several execution forums and to senior management.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
-Lead, drive and own internal cross functional teams to meet program deliverables and quality criteria according to program milestones.
-Manage and track software defects raised by OEMs driving them to resolution both internally and externally.
-Manage and track program schedules, technical issues, risks and priorities.
-Manage day to day activities within CTS Software engineering and cross functional teams.
-Perform risk assessment and implement risk mitigation plans.
Candidate needs to demonstrate a high level of flexibility and ability to participate in multiple areas of a nimble organization.
A proven ability to set goals and execute is required - we are looking for someone who gets things done. Top priority is placed on candidates with proven experience in the mobile/wireless phone industry.
Candidate must possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
6+ years experience that includes Platform and/or Program Management roles for SW development and product delivery preferably in the mobile/wireless phone industry.
6+ years experience with a strong SW background
6+ years experience in SW development and product delivery in an Android and/or Linux.
Familiarity with agile methodology and PMP certification is preferred.
- Extensive experience in program managing large complex programs involving large cross functional teams in a matrix organization, which are based in multiple geographic locations and regions.
- In-depth knowledge of product development lifecycle.
