ConocoPhillips Information Technology (IT) provides technical services to the ConocoPhillips network.

The SAP Basis team is part of ConocoPhillips Information Technology Enterprise Solutions (ITES) function, which provides system administration support and services for over 90 SAP systems. The SAP organization includes over 125 global employees who provide SAP support in areas such as Finance, Operations and Logistics, Technical and Basis, Human Resources, Client Management and Sales & Distribution.

Responsibilities may include:
Install and upgrade SAP software for one or more of the following systems: ERP, BW, SRM, Portal, GTS, GRC, PI, and MDM.

Perform day to day maintenance and monitoring of the SAP systems ensuring monitoring is setup, system alerts are addressed and optimal performance is being achieved

Troubleshoot system wide problems, including system performance issues, errors or availability

Work with the technical and/or functional team to troubleshoot specific application errors and performance issues

Use of SAP OSS system to look for solutions to problems and if necessary work with SAP to get problem resolutions

Work with various other teams as needed: print team, UNIX team, Web team, Windows server team, GIPA and security

Perform system copies of production systems to test systems, approximately 6 per month.

Indentify and implement system parameter or configuration changes as needed

Be on call every 5 weeks to provide 24X7X365 response to critical system issues.


Legally authorized to work in the United States

5+ years related IT experience

3+ years SAP Basis experience in a global environment

Working experience with ABAP, Java, Enterprise Portals and UNIX and/or UNIX scripting

Database knowledge that includes Oracle and SQL

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to quickly recognize, isolate, and resolve technical problems

An integrated knowledge of other Information Technology disciplines.

Ability and skills to provide valued technical ideas and advice to other team members.

Good interpersonal skills, self motivated, ability to provide after hours support for global customers in differing time zones

Discipline in following operational standards and processes

Customer focused, business driven, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong networks with ITSS and project resources across the globe

Strong verbal/written communication and team building skills

Ability to multi-task effectively
