The CEO & Founder of Grindr, Joel Simkhai, is looking to hire an Executive Assistant to structure and support his company, social, and personal matters.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about the Grindr brand and has an avid interest in mobile apps, dating sites, and technology/innovation. We are interested in candidates who not only can perform well in this role, but also grow professionally and eventually work in another capacity for the company.
This is not a "9 to 5" job – this role sometimes requires you to be "on call."
Joel currently lives in the West Hollywood area and works in the Hollywood business district.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Responsible for the completion of all business and personal errands (with some assistance from a virtual concierge); and supervising household staff
Screen a large volume of phone calls and email correspondence
Organize meetings and events; schedule appointments and be the sole gatekeeper for Joel's schedule
Individually responsible for all travel booking and research (no travel agency assistance)
Perform basic bookkeeping and accounting, including business expense reports
Required Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
At least 2 years of experience as a personal or executive assistant in a 40+ hours per week capacity
Advanced mastery of technology & tools: iOS or Android , Mac , mobile apps , and Google Calendar.
Excellent organizational skills and follow-through; able to reorient with shifting priorities
Ability to solve problems with minimal instruction; ability to anticipate Joel's needs and anticipate problems before they occur; proactive
Clear and precise written and verbal communication style; poise, tact, diplomacy
Proven experience with handling sensitive and confidential information
Flexible individual with a "can do" attitude
Must have and be licensed to operate a vehicle
Must be comfortable with small dogs
Little to no travel required
