A high school diploma or GED equivalent. A minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, as well as previous supervisory or lead experience. Willing to take courses as required by management, to improve or develop required skills, i.e. technical, supervisory training, quality, etc. Supervise employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment: plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends imporvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Must be willing to work extra hours (beyond 40) and be willing to work any shift Monday thru Friday and/or Tuesday thru Saturday as a swinging shift or full time. Must have a good attendance record for consideration.

Job Description:
• Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, cost) and increase subordinates' skills and capabilities. • Must prepare activity plans for the above and discuss them with the production manager. • Must be able to assist in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control, and performance management. • Coordinate with Human Resources to properly manage and supervise associates in a fair and consistent manner to insure compliance with personnel and company policies, procedures and safety rules and to provide appropriate feedback and/or disciplinary actions. • Ensures effective employee relations and provide employee coaching and development while resolving employee issues and conflict thru problem resolution. • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas and work to continuously improve in all areas. • Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to production manager. • Conduct safety inspections and audits and perform accident investigations. • Maintains proper inventory levels. • Manage department priorities while keeping production manager apprised of problems. Recommend and implement solutions. • Responsible for all other duties assigned. • Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. • Supervision, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline. • Measurement of performance to goals and standards. • An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations. • Systems and continuous improvement orientation. • Quality orientation and attention to detail. • Problem analysis and resolution. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • An ability to manage multiple priorities. • Provide a clean and organized work environment thru 5-S controls. • Provide growth and development opportunities for associate engagement and satisfaction. • Maintain and comply with all other company and corporate systems and procedures as applicable for area of responsibility.
