The Manager of Plant Operations is responsible for implementing a planned maintenance program that meets the testing and inspection requirements of Joint Commission, CMS, DHHS, and NFPA that covers the hospital physical structure,
exterior grounds, utility systems, electrical, mechanical, life safety systems,
and equipment. Maintains current data of hospital inventory and keeps records of hospital systems and equipment maintenance and repair history. This individual also provides bi-monthly and quarterly operational reports that assure the Environment of
Care Committee, Quality Council and the Governing Board the facility is a safe
environment for patients, visitors, and staff through routine inspections and
maintenance. Provides Administration with quarterly reports that define annual management objectives that will have either a financial, operations, or quality issue impact on the hospital through specific activities of the Engineering Department.
Has good knowledge and can work to comply with regulatory standards that apply to operations of the hospital environment, such as ADA, NFPA, DHHS, CMS, Joint Commission, etc. Has intermediate level of computer proficiency in word processing, spread sheet, and data based type software. Is proficient in interpreting

Education and/or Experience:
Degree in engineering, preferably civil, mechanical, or electrical with supplemental training in business management or related experience and/or a minimum of eight years experience in supervision and maintenance in installations, construction and
maintenance of equipment, utilities, HVAC, and buildings, preferably in a
