As part of the Digital Marketing & Services team within AstraZeneca's Marketing Services Group, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for informing and executing digital marketing strategies for AstraZeneca's brands. This includes the support and development of (1) branded/unbranded web sites, (2) web-based applications and services, (3) as well online promotional tactics.

Major Responsibilities

Digital Marketing and Analytics
  • Develop cross-channel digital marketing strategy, planning, development, and execution
  • Utilization of digital promotional tactics including but not limited to:
    • SEO
    • Paid Search
    • Banner Advertising
    • Social Media
    • Email
    • Direct and execute web site development projects
      • Steward web initiatives through the medical, legal, and regulator y (MLR) review process
      • Manage regular reporting and tracking, and report metrics appropriately and flag issues for internal stakeholders
      • Analyze and report marketing performance; provide recommendations for improvement and make suggestions for best in class services
  • Monitor analytics for all coordinated digital marketing initiatives, and report on results
Leadership Skills
  • Proven teamwork, coaching, and leadership experience while working with design, marketing, and technology teams
  • The ability to motivate people
  • Good 'people skills' for building relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • The ability to plan and prioritize your own work and other people's
Project Management
  • Manage high-quality web development vendors
  • Manage and/or coordinate with internal/external resources (IS, programmers, Internet Channel Managers) in executing established initiatives
  • Research new technologies for continually improving our Internet marketing services offering.
Skills and Capabilities:
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong communication skill
  • The ability to manage people

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • 3 + years marketing and/or advertising agency experience (digital agency experience preferred)
  • 3 years of pharmaceutical or related experience
  • Experience in managing complex projects
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, leadership, and facilitation skills
  • Project management experience
  • Budget management
Preferred Background:
  • MBA or Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, strategy etc.)
  • 5+ years experience in an environment with direct exposure and skills promoting the implementation of commercial platforms and capability building
  • Proven background of dealing with multiple senior level executives and external partners to drive various initiative and programs
