The Scheduling Coordinator performs a wide range of receptionist/central scheduler and registrar duties for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Center. Duties include, but are not limited to, receiving orders from referring provider offices, scheduling patients for appropriate ultrasound procedures, tests andor consultations, registering patients for out-patient visits, medical record maintenance and coordination of communication within the clinic. Multiple phone calls need to be fielded as well as maintenance or office equipment and supply ordering.
Mental Demands: Frequent people contact, detailed work, frequent interruptions, critical thinking skills, concentration, multiple concurrent tasks, frequent deadlines, organizational skills, team oriented with the ability to work well with others.
The ideal candidate will be a mature individual who has excellent computer skills. some previous experience in a clinic setting or as a scheduler is preferred. This person must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The person in this position must have excellent customer service skills as well. At least three years of work experience in a similar field and/or some college is desired. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Willing to travel between clinic sites in Minneapolis, Burnsville and Edina.
