This manager will lead a team of production technicians who seek guidance in transitioning from reactionary to preventive/predictive maintenance concepts focused on reducing unscheduled downtime. To be successful in this role you should have hands on experience in Preventive/Predictive (Reliability) Maintenance as well as implementing Preventive/Predictive Maintenance programs. This Manager will be expected to train new and current associates. This individual will lead and direct the team to insure that all maintenance work is completed in a timely manner, while ensuring safety procedures are followed. Another important role of this Manager is to promote Continuous Improvement and maintain efficient work standards.
This position has will have direct reports and the primary responsibilities will be centered around the management of the various equipment lines in this manufacturing plant, with intimate knowledge of the lithography/decorating/artwork processes. They will supervise, direct and coordinate personnel activities with production operations. This will include utilizing knowledge of product technology, product methods, and procedure, standards and machine equipment capability. The individual will review and analyze production to determine causes of non-conformity with product specifications and operating or production problems. They will develop and implement methods and procedures to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and operating costs. This position is also responsible to manage critical raw materials and parts. This position is responsible for providing a safe working environment for our employees.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this opportunity will possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline
5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment – high speed operations is a plus
Experience leading others, including engineers, mechanics, machinists, and others
Strong knowledge of PLC’s, machine electronic controls and electronic trouble shooting skills
Proficient in using Auto CAD
Rigid packaging or metal forming experience is a plus!
Mechanical Power Press experience
Able to read and understand tooling schematics, product drawings, and technical manuals
Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, & Access
Proven Project Management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
The ability to work independently and with a team
Demonstrated leadership ability and effective employee development skills are a must
Proven time management and prioritizing skills are a requirement for this role
