The Education Program Manager will play a key role in driving awareness and increasing the use of Autodesk products in vocational and community colleges. As part of the North American Education team this person will be responsible for facilitating a greater level of adoption for the entire suite of Autodesk solutions. This will be achieved through face-to-face contact and well as through coordination of the educational channel resellers. Responsibilities will be executed in partnership with education technical managers, education sales team and selected channel partners.

Responsibilities
Develop effective working relationships with teachers, administrators and students at vocational and community colleges focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Architecture, Media, Arts and Entertainment
Develop hands-on workshops, presentations, webcasts and lectures to support the innovative integration of Autodesk technologies into education curriculum
Coordinate visits and presentations on campus with education account managers, channel partners, student experts and other constituents
Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with professors in selected departments in order to influence curriculum
Provide thought leadership to strategic initiatives focused on vocational and community college market
Build constructive and influential relationship with various constituencies in the vocational/community college ecosystem including state/federal governing agencies and professional organizations

Help university administration and faculty realize the use of Autodesk solutions and curriculum in the classroom by consulting and training professors and students, bridging the best practices in industry with intended learning outcomes of engineering programs
Attend meetings, create strategy, and plan for special events with Americas Marketing team and the manufacturing division in order to maximizing positive publicity in higher education
Support Americas Marketing in the development and delivery of special events, training, and on-campus activities of student representatives and experts at assigned education institutions
Work with product development divisions to understand product trends, thought leadership messaging, and technical updates to products to maintain expertise in Autodesk technology
Identify key education-related associations and professional organizations and build relationships to increase mindshare and awareness of Autodesk's education solutions
Maintain technical expertise in appropriate software workflow, including tools that support sustainable design, collaboration, visualization, fabrication and simulation
Develop instructional content, provide technical support and facilitate communication with students and professors at a distance.
Provide monthly metric reports on activities
Requirements
BS degree in relevant business, marketing or engineering discipline
Proven ability to develop strategic relationships - ideally with education customers
Confident at presenting and discussing design practices as well as technical education
Ability to drive results in a matrix organization
Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with a wide variety of university professionals at both a commercial and technical level
Must be able to engage students and faculty in learning Autodesk technology
Ability to use multiple presentation tools and techniques, adapting and fitting them to audiences and topics directed by professors or account managers
Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to explain issues in a clear, concise, and logical manner
Engaged in social media and can develop and deliver instructional resources, blogs, and other technical assistance at a distance from the customer
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, set priorities
Ability to influence and work as part of a diverse and extended team and gain commitment
Capable of creating, presenting, and delivering hands-on training to diverse education audiences in unconventional environments
Working knowledge and capable of delivering instruction on programs such as Inventor or Revit
Ability to travel 30% of time, visiting educational institutions, attending conferences, meetings, and other education-related events
