Provide support to the Laramie River Station (LRS) engineering staff by inputting and reducing performance statistics; developing computer programs and customized reports; organizing and updating drawings and manuals; collecting equipment vibration and performance tests; performing drafting, small project design, and coordination services; filing engineering information; coordinating major surveying; performing minor surveying and gathering Grayrocks Dam data, and coordination of fly ash sales.

Required Skills Requires continuous sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and reaching; frequent bending, kneeling, and using keyboard/computer; and occasional crawling, pushing, pulling, using foot controls, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires finger dexterity, good color vision and good hearing. Working conditions may frequently include chemicals and noise; and occasionally extreme heat and cold, dirt and dust, fumes, vibration, and electrical risks. This position must be respirator qualified. May occasionally work in confined areas, at heights up to 300 feet, and be required to work under stressful conditions. Tools and equipment operated include office equipment, testing equipment such as probes, and motor vehicles. The incumbent uses small hand tools and testing equipment. Must have the ability to analyze data/reports, conduct research, and present information to others.

Required Experience Requires a knowledge of engineering terminology and mathematical and computer programming skills acquired through completion of a two-year degree in a computer science or engineering related field and two years of related experience or four years of related experience. Proficiency with Microsoft, Access, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD software is desired. This position requires electronic drafting skills. The position must be capable of performing basic surveying tasks.
