Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Operations function

Qualifications:
Accountabilities in this role
*
Coordinates with other Division departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
*
Assigns, directs, and monitors order filling activities. Ensures activity reports are prepared.
*
Controls rotation of stock and inventory to ensure proper shelf life.
*
Develops, leads, and sponsors Lean Six Sigma projects.
*
Motivates employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achieved or exceeded.
*
Implements modifications or innovations as approved by Division Management.
*
Must have the decision-making ability in times of extreme conditions, self-reliant and carries line authority in Operations Manager's absence.
*
Handles general employee inquiries and solves problems.
*
Conducts interviews and hires appropriate personnel for Division openings.
*
Completes and conducts performance appraisals on subordinates.
*
Trains new employees.
*
Prepares and submits daily and weekly reports.
*
Ensures all company and government regulatory agencies, security, safety, and housekeeping policies and practices are followed.
*
Maintains positive employee relations. Ensures that the corporation's management principles, policies, and programs are consistently practiced.

Ensures quality service is provided to customers of Cardinal Health
*
Deals with contracted services on a routine basis.

Plans and organizes in-house projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Prior inventory management experience strongly preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated organization, analytical, and leadership skills required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
