F/T or P/T:
Maintain students' official academic records, issue transcripts and certify enrollment at New York University. Prepare and review Veteran and TAP benefits certification paperwork. Prepare National Clearinghouse student eligibility reports. Review and process tuition refunds for students. Handle Student Information System-PeopleSoft grading queries. Review all transcript requests and assist with identifying special needs and requests. Answer phones and respond to mail and in-person inquiries. Produce a variety of documents, utilizing departmental word processing templates.
High School diploma or equivalent.
3 years of office experience (with High School diploma).
2 years of office experience (with Associate's degree).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Familiarity with intermediate level word processing and web based applications. Accurate keyboarding. Ability to operate basic office equipment (e.g., personal computer, photocopy/fax machine). After appropriate training, must be able to use the PeopleSoft student information system to maintain academic records, process transcripts and certify student enrollment. Good writing and proofreading skills.
