The Sales and Business Development Manager identifies new markets/referral partners for AMI and NewLogic products. Responsibilities include developing and implementing sales strategies for new partners, managing sales activities and creating turnover packages to CAN Market Development Managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Sales and Business Development Manager must demonstrate exceptional strength in coordinating all elements needed to develop new accounts and expand the company’s base through thought leadership including but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:
Identify and develop strategies to obtain major relationships in the financial services and payment processing markets such as community banks, financial institutions, factoring companies, insurance providers, leasing brokers and payment processors;
Cultivate new referral relationships, monitor pre-qual and submission process, guide profitability to core goals and objectives, attain annual and monthly fundings goals as set forth by CAN plan;
Work with CAN marketing department and VP of Sales to develop sales campaigns including creating marketing collateral, identify market opportunities for AMI/NLB, implement Direct Marketing campaigns and distribution networks. Provide additional direction and guidance for “best practices” approach to prospecting and closing leads;
Recommend products to referral partners, based on their specific needs and interests. Understand business model of partner and make recommendations for leveraging the best CAN products and marketing approach to the business. Track metrics accordingly with periodic reports and reviews to support continued growth and development of the relationship;
Answer questions about products, prices, merchant terms and negotiate referral partner agreements;
Meet with or call referral partners to cultivate ongoing interest in new industry developments or present via the web, features and benefits of offering CAN products with a “Return on Investment” proposition;
Complete Referral agreements or forms, build contact history/profile (Sales Information—size of relationship, volume expected, current business, business start date, of new Referral partner;
Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product and services. Travel when required as directed by management;
Gather information about challenges and needs facing the geography’s business;
Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or (5) five years experience in business development or sales management or combination of education and experience.
Language Ability: Requires ability to read, analyze, write and interpret financial reports, statistical analysis, legal documents and database specifications. Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and negotiation skills and the ability to respond to common inquiries from international customers (additional languages valuable). Demonstrated presentation and public speaking skills required to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Math Ability: Advanced ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships leading to sales growth. Proven ability to analyze, problem solve and make difficult decisions in a fast paced, high-pressure, rapidly evolving environment.
Organizational Ability: Must demonstrate organizational skills in multi-site, virtual and cross-cultural contexts.
Computer Skills: Must have superior knowledge of MS Excel, Access and Visio. Proficiency in MS Word, Power Point and the ability to quickly learn various database and financial software systems also required.
