Axcient is building the next generation of Disaster Recovery as Service cloud platform, which sweeps industry awards for its innovative approach to eliminating business downtime and data loss. We're looking for a Linux Kernel developer who will work on our Core OS based on the Linux kernel in order to deliver a fast, reliable data protection solution to our customers.
Design, develop, maintain and upgrade Core Axcient OS, which is the backbone of our backup solution.
Develop unit tests and automated tests.
Debug, find and fix as a way of continuously improving the AxOS and the proprietary vdiff technology, which is responsible for providing reliable onsite backups.
Work with cross-functional groups including operations to analyze, diagnose and fix critical problems in a timely fashion.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or a Masters with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Linux kernel development experience.
Working knowledge of scripting languages like bash, perl etc.
Understanding of backup and storage systems.
A familiarity with distributed systems development and testing.
