Software development for geospatial programs in O&M, planning, data archiving, visualization, and imagery/video/product management. Development includes coding and methodology in J2EE, JAVA, C++, C, web-based architectures (thin and thick clients), service oriented architectures (services), and Waterfall or Agile/Lean/Scrum approaches. Under direction the candidate will interact directly with the customer to generate requirements and demonstrate or distribute produced end products. Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics. Interfaces with other members of the project team, management, factory engineering, customers, and suppliers to meet group, organization, and company objectives. Maintains and improves processes and software tools. Prepares and presents status briefings and reports on assigned projects. Communicates regularly with Program Management. Works well under minimal direction. Performs effectively as part of a globally disbursed team. Troubleshoots and responds to software discrepancy reports. Ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Jira and DOORS. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. After hours support as required. Some travel as required.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

This position requires that you work out of either Mountain View, CA or Springfield, VA. Do you currently reside in either the Mountain View, CA or Springfield, VA area (where relocating would not be required) or are you willing to relocate at your own expense?

Do you have a current Top Secret (TS) security clearance or current Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access?

Typical Education/Experience

Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience.
