Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical assistance to customers by performing the following duties:
  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution via e-mail, phone, and other electronic medium
  • Equipment configuration to connect to the internet application servers
  • Maintain Windows 7/XP/Vista workstations, Active Directory server
  • Deploy new workstations
  • Troubleshoot of software and hardware
  • Installing of all software
  • Obtain general understanding of OS and application operations related to company offered services
  • Maintenance of all computer hardware, network hardware, servers on LAN side routers
  • Maintenance and break fix of all computer hardware and software
  • Maintenance of antivirus software for all company computers and servers in the local offices
  • Provide end-user support as it relates to IT
  • Provide end-user support to remote users and some outside staff (models, contractors, vendors)
  • Maintain daily backup of company servers for all local offices
  • Provide help-desk support to end-users (local and remote) Level, I, II, III
  • Maintenance of all data lines to local offices (Metro-e, DSL)
  • Review and oversee of vendors in IT related matters (Bellsouth, printer service, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Additional duties include, but aren't limited to: installing, patching, maintaining software, anti-virus, email, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • 2-year degree, certificate from college or technical school in a related field, 4 year degree is a plus
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical support specialist
Skills and Specifications:
  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communication
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
  • Experience with hardware and software issues
  • Proficient in Internet related applications such as e-mail clients, FTP clients and web browsers
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Typing proficiency: 40-60 wpm
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • Experience with Apple Mac OS X is a HUGE plus.
