Laars has a very talented team of Engineers, Designers, and Lab Technicians and we are in the process of building a large state-of-the-art engineering R&D laboratory with extensive automation and computerized data acquisition equipment. Our focus is on new condensing boiler technology and the continued growth and success of our organization.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to manage our sustaining engineering projects and assist in our new product development, working closely with the manufacturing, sales, quality and marketing departments.

Required Qualifications:
 BS in Mechanical Engineering
 3+ years of design experience
 Project management (design through manufacturing) experience
 Strong organizational and data analysis abilities
 Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
 Office suite including Word and Excel
 Ability to travel up 10%

Desired Qualifications:
 Experience in heat transfer, condensing boiler design, and hydronic heating
 Knowledge of DOE residential and commercial approval requirements and boiler efficiency rating standards
 Solidworks software knowledge
 Electrical systems experience
