POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor and overall authority of the Production Manager, the Line Lead coordinates the production line assembly and packaging work for assigned orders.
THIS IS A FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION, BUT ALL HIRING IS DONE THROUGH AN AGENCY. IF YOU ARE QUALIFIED YOU WILL BE CONTACTED BY AN AGENCY FOR THIS POSITION.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
? Requisitions materials required to meet production goals.
? Inspects items produced to determine if client specifications are met.
? Communicates line progress to supervisor/manager on a regular basis.
? Interprets company policies and enforces safety regulations on the line.
? Interprets specifications and orders and assigns tasks to direct laborers.
? Establishes and adjusts line work process to meet production schedules.
? Coordinates activities on assigned production line.
? Recommends measures to improve productivity and efficiency.
? Tracks time and productivity for assigned line.
? Trains and motivates direct laborers to complete assigned line work.
? Sets up machines and equipment, as needed.
? Performs direct labor activities as needed.
? Other related duties, as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required, associates degree or higher preferred; one or more years of work experience .
? Ability to analyze a situation to resolve routine problems,
? Ability to prioritize tasks in changing situations,
o Good verbal communication skills,
? Detail-oriented and the ability to identify errors,
o Ability to motivate oneself and others to complete tasks,
o Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment,

? Ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals,

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Line Lead works in a factory environment with exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. The position is regularly required to stand and move about the facility, as well as frequent standing or sitting in one place for extended periods. The ability to speak and hear to communicate with others in person and vision to read instructions and manuals are also required. This position involves some bending, crouching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
