Purpose of Job:
To perform activities related to the preparation, assembly, distribution and service of patient meals and strive to continually improve our service.
1. Prepares and assembles food items for patient meals.
Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, the actual kitchen facility under the direction of the supervisor.
3. Prepares nourishments and floor stocks for patients.
4. Maintains a SERVE attitude to all customers
Recognizes the existence of cultural differences and utilizes appropriate resources available throughout the Hospital to respond to the needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient, family member and/or visitor
Demonstrates the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards in the performance of their duties with the integrity and to comply with all applicable laws in a manner that excludes considerations of personal advantage or gain.
Adheres to Doylestown Hospital’s Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
Complies with HIPPA privacy rules by only discussing, or seeking out information about the status of patients to whom care is being provided with others providing care to that same patient, and ensuring such discussion takes place in a confidential setting.
Education: High School Diploma preferred
Experience: 1 year Food Service experience preferred
Other Skills: Ability to read the English Language
