Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst - Women & Childrens
Location: New Castle, DE
The Senior System Analyst is responsible for business process, software implementations, upgrades, configuration and support of multiple computer applications. This position will ensure quality and regulatory compliance of all computer operations. Emphasis for this position will be on supporting medium to complex projects in the following clinical departments: Women’s and Children’s including Labor & Delivery, NICU and Peds. Other areas of responsibility will include Care Management (Midas), Renal and Bone Marrow Transplant, Infection Control, GI Lab, Mother’s Milk Bank, employee Flu Tracking system, Pharmacy (retail and non-PowerChart), Women’s and Children’s, eCare, Medical Affairs, Medical Library and other key clinical service lines and departments.
This position will provide IT on-call support.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize business knowledge to identify opportunities for improvement or efficiency gains.
Develop and document system design specifics to assure understanding and to gain agreement by user of specific system inputs, outputs and costs.
Maintain effective user relationships in order to provide a climate receptive to systems improvement and to enhance understanding of the users business concerns. Participate on user project teams, audit installed system for conformance to objectives and make applicable changes, conduct additional training, and clarify procedures to assure full user satisfaction.
Key to this role will be strong customer relationship/communication skills. This individual must be able to communicate with all levels of staff within the designated business areas.
Maintain self-motivation to learn and apply current technical knowledge and to understand CCHS functions.
Must have strong vendor management skills to ensure delivery of services expected as well as overall application management.
Provide technical work direction to other team personnel as needed in order to insure timely and accurate project completion. Assist the Manager in planning for and handling management contacts in business areas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree or commensurate experience in a discipline related to the assigned area.
Four to six years of clinical information systems experience in any of the Women’s and Children’s departments preferred.
Workflow analysis or business process experience preferred.
Information Technology experience preferred but not required.
