SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION: The Senior Legal Assistant provides administrative support for the VP, General Counsel as well as work closely with the legal team located at Keurig headqaurters as well as up at GMCR headquarters in Vermont. This position will prepare correspondence, make travel arrangements, assist with logistic arrangements, manage certain process of the Office of the General Counsel and such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the preparation of legal documents and materials for the VP General Counsel and legal team.
Compose, edit, and proof legal and confidential correspondence and special reports.
Prepare routine contracts under direction of the VP General Counsel.
Responsible for partnering with Office of the CEO staff to manage Board meeting logistics and travel arrangements.
Manage the VP, General Counsel’s calendar and provide administrative support that includes answering the phone, photocopying, filing, updating reports, tracking work flow, and making travel arrangements.
Assist the legal department by researching routine legal questions and basic paralegal research duties.
Track budget expenses and manage the Legal department budget.
Assist with the preparation of minutes for the Board meetings and other key meetings.
Responsible to maintain strict confidentiality on all business and legal matters.
College degree required and 10 plus years of experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department; or equivalent experience preferred.
Previous experience providing administrative support to Corporate Executives and/or Corporate boards.
Ability to be a self-starter, highly-motivated, work independently on projects, maintain positive attitude, and learn quickly.
Working knowledge of or ability to comprehend legal process and Corporate legal terminology.
Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, be patient, and provide excellent service to internal/external customers.
Superior typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment, multi-task, give attention to detail, and maintain grace under fire.
Ability to uphold Safety standards, participate in Continuous Process Improvement on the job, and follow our Manufacturing best practices.
Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
High level of integrity and sensitivity to handling confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to follow GMCR policies and procedures as well as our Operating principles.
Ability to work flexible hours as necessary.
