Chevron Energy Technology Company (ETC) is accepting online applications for the position of Pipeline Integrity Engineer located in Houston, Texas through February 21, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

The ETC Reliability & Integrity Unit works collaboratively across multiple organizations and assets of Chevron, and with multiple project teams, working from ETC locations or on site in business units. The unit consists of technical experts with teams in Reliability, Inspection & Integrity.

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Pipeline related risk assessment/ integrity management activities of the unit including provision of technical support to both projects and operations with a focus of improving pipeline integrity and reliability.
  • Development of pipeline and related equipment integrity programs
  • Conducting a range of qualitative and or quantitative risk assessments
  • Developing inspection, mitigation and monitoring programs.
  • Consult with business units to evaluate BU needs, recommend solutions, and implement same.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering is required.
  • Minimum 10 years experience with pipeline corrosion, materials, risk assessment, inspection (including smart pigging), repair and integrity programs.
  • Prior experience with pipeline design/installation/fabrication desired.
  • Significant travel (40-50%) will be required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
