The purpose of this position is to perform all duties related to experiment design and execution, data analysis, general laboratory responsibilities, and assisting/mentoring colleagues and/or interns. These procedures allow for a laboratory functioning efficiently to produce quality data that will translate into publications and most importantly advances in the clinic. Detailed Description
Emphasis on rodent xenograft studies.
Maintain detailed laboratory notebook.
Collection and analysis of data.
Participates in weekly lab meetings by updating departmentof progress, results, and future studies.
Maintain lab equipment.
Perform general laboratory duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain tissue cultures.
Researches literature related to the project.
Write technical reports. Job Requirements
Position requires a Bachelors Degree in a Science field and a minimum of one year working experience in a lab after graduation. Candidate should be independent enough to run his/hers own study once properly trained. Candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, QC analysis of study and communication with other groups involved in study. This Candidate will also be responsible for training of others.
Experience in rodent handling andprocedures.
Experience in tissue culture techniquesand other in vitro assay.
Experience in general laboratorytechniques.
Periodic weekend shifts.
